IPAF Loading and Unloading (LOAD)
The IPAF Loading and Unloading training course has been designed for operators to learn the correct safety procedures for the loading, unloading and securing of machinery prior to or following transportation by road.
The course is suitable for all people who will be loading or unloading heavy plant machinery including MEWPs, dumpers, excavators and telehandlers.
Candidates must hold a current PAL card or MEWP operator licence.

Course Content
- The safe loading, unloading and securing of plant machinery onto a suitable vehicle using appropriate equipment ready for transportation on a public highway.
- Linking methods of work to legal requirements
- Identify associated hazards and apply effective control measures to prevent accidents
- The course incorporates a highly interactive theory element followed by a short test and a focus on practical training with assessment of hands-on skills
How will I receive my IPAF Certification?
Upon successful completion of the IPAF training course, candidates will receive their certification digitally via the ePAL app.The app is free to download (on Apple iOS and Android devices) and is a convenient way to keep a record of all IPAF licences and qualifications gained.
