Working heights are calculated using the maximum platform height plus two metres.
Outreach
Outreach is an impMaximum outreach is measured from the centre of the slew ring. An important consideration when clearing obstacles.
Platform capacity
Always consider the safe working load of the machine you are hiring. Calculate the weight of the operatives, plus any tools materials.
Ground conditions
Take time to check the ground conditions. Operating machines on gradients, rough or wet terrain will affect your choice of equipment. Please discuss the particulars of the ground conditions with us before you hire.
Wind speed
Check wind speeds with use of an anemometer. Always refer to the machine operator’s manual to confirm maximum safe wind speeds.
Working indoors or outdoors?
Electric powered machines are recommended for indoor use. Remember to measure the access to any buildings whilst considering any other restrictions. Please discuss with us any requirements you may have for non-marking tyres or wheel covers. Every powered access machine used outdoors should have a wind rating. Again, it’s important to consider ground conditions and outreach.
