It is a very impressive mid-height scissor with a self-levelling
system that allows it to operate on slopes that would be out of bounds for many
other scissor lifts.
JMS has added the Bibi 1090-BL EVO to its hire fleet to meet growing dem for specialist platforms that can deliver safe working at height in the most challenging environments.
The scissor lift, manufactured by Almac in Italy, has a maximum working height of 10 metres with a maximum basket capacity of 300kg.
Impressive on slopes
It is the ability of the machine to work on slopes, though, that sets
it apart. It can self-level laterally up to 14%, longitudinally to the
front up to 15% to the rear up to 20%.
The scissor adds to Bibi hire options as JMS already has the Bibi 850-BL in its fleet – a mini tracked scissor lift that delivers the same self-levelling capability a maximum working height of 7.9m.
JMS Director Mark Jackson said: “The Bibi 1090-BL EVO scissor lift a great option for working in environments where gradients are unavoidable, such as along motorways for bridge maintenance.

“The platform is also likely to be the rough terrain scissor lift of
choice for working on construction sites landscaped areas for building
facilities maintenance work.”
Automatic self-levelling
Basket self-levelling is automatic, controls are simple
intuitive to use, so the operator can concentrate fully on the working at
height job at h, even on the steepest gradients.
The Bibi 1090-BL EVO self-levelling scissor lift is powered by a low-emissions low-noise Kubota diesel engine has proportional hydraulic controls for precise safe operation.
At only 1460mm wide in travelling mode, the platform can be operated
in tight spaces. Yet it has a spacious platform, which is 1300mm wide
1800mm long, with a deck extension taking the length to 2920mm.
