PASMA Training at JMS

JMS has been accredited as an approved PASMA training member.

PASMA courses are for those who’ll be working at height using mobile access towers such as aluminium towers or other low level access equipment and anyone who manages those who do.

PASMA, which stands for “Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association”, is the industry standard training scheme for mobile access towers and thousands of delegates train each year at PASMA approved training centres.

JMS Director Justin Lynn said “We hire out mobile access equipment such as aluminium towers and podium steps, so it makes sense to offer the relevant training too. We want to supply our customers with high quality equipment and ensure it’s being used correctly and safely.”

Who is PASMA training for?

PASMA training is for you if:

  • You are new to working at height using towers and platforms.
  • You have used towers before but need to refresh your knowledge and skills.
  • You are managing people that use towers and platforms.

What courses are available?

JMS is offering the following PASMA courses:

  • Work at Height Novice
  • Low Level Access Course
  • Towers on Stairways for Users
  • Towers for Users
  • Towers for Managers Course
  • Combined Low Level Access and Towers for Users Course
  • Cantilever Towers for Users

Upon completion of a training course, a PASMA card and certificate will be issued which will be valid for 5 years. Once expired, delegates will need to take a refresher course or complete the full course again.

Safety first

Working at height presents a number of risks and sadly there are still many avoidable injuries in the construction industry. But with the appropriate training, the risk of injury can be greatly reduced.

Where mobile towers and low level access platforms are required, operators need to know how to correctly assemble, move and dismantle them.
This not only ensures the safety of everyone involved but also increases productivity and can save time if the towers need to be moved around the work site.
