JLG is launching the world’s tallest articulating boom lift at Bauma.
The 1500AJP is also claimed to have the farthest reach of its kind, with a working envelope of more than 74,000 cubic meters.
It features an up–over height of 18.3m, a working outreach of 23.5m platform capacity of 270kg unrestricted 450kg available through a the vast majority of the working envelope.
The 1500AJP, which will be available for shipment to customers in early 2017, also offers a stard 2.4m jib that raises lowers 135 degrees to provide additional reach, up–over capability, the ability to position the platform independent of the main boom. In addition, the jib pivots horizontally 125 degrees to provide extra maneuverability at elevated work sites.
The boom’s Quick Stickfeature enables the lift to move from the ground to maximum platform height in 2 minutes 15 seconds return to the ground at the same speed.
There is also an LCD panel that clearly communicates the position of the boom in the work envelope the status of its operating systems. A smooth, comfortable transition from full function speed to full stop is provided by stroke cylinder dampening.
The 1500AJP offers improved serviceability, thanks to a swing-out engine tray that provides easy access to key service components, a hydraulic system that simplifies hose routings reduces leak points. In addition, an LCD panel located at the ground control panel uses text fault codes to improve troubleshooting reduce the number duration of service calls.
In most European countries, the 1500AJP is easy to transport, as it fits on a stard flatbed trailer. This reduces costs associated with transporting the machine, reduces the total cost of ownership, said the company, with 50/50 weight distribution on the axles also contributes to transportability, as the lift is easier to load, as well as terrainability on the job site.
Additional features include 40% gradeability, 360-degree continuous turntable rotation, four-wheel drive hydraulically powered pivoting axles that exp quickly for fast setup time.
