Advanced PAL+ Training Now Available from JMS Powered Access
JMS Powered Access is excited to announce that our dedicated training division now delivers IPAF PAL+ advanced operator courses. This upgrade means customers can access these specialised sessions directly through our branches in Dartford, Harpenden, and Leeds. This follows our recent appointment of a National Training Manager to drive IPAF growth, ensuring top standards and convenience.Â
What is PAL+ Training?
PAL+ provides one-day, category-specific advanced training for experienced MEWP operators in high-risk environments like confined spaces or challenging terrain. It includes theory, practical exercises on large machines (minimum 10m scissor or 15m boom), a theory test, practical test, and interview. Successful candidates receive a new PAL Card with “+” endorsements, valid for five years.
Benefits of IPAF PAL + Training for Operators
Operators with PAL+ training gain advanced skills that significantly boost their confidence and safety on complex jobs. They master high-risk tasks like working near edges, in confined spaces, or on rough terrain, feeling fully prepared for challenging environments through hands-on practice with rescue techniques and load management on larger machines. This leads to fewer errors, reduced accident likelihood, and clear career progression, with the “+” endorsement on their PAL Card enhancing employability on demanding sites such as steel fabrication or maintenance projects.
Benefits of IPAF PAL + Training for Employers
Companies benefit from hiring PAL+ certified operators by ensuring teams meet stringent safety standards, which minimises downtime from incidents and insurance claims while demonstrating a strong commitment to training that aids success in tender bids for safety-focused contracts like Build UK initiatives. They can trust their skilled workforce for regulatory compliance and enjoy a competitive edge, especially with JMS’s in-house delivery at Dartford, Harpenden, and Leeds branches saving time and costs on outsourced courses while maintaining consistent, high-quality upskilling across sites.
