Our NiftyLift HR28 hybrid boom lift was in the spotlight recently, taking the famous Mr. Doodle up in the air to transform Kent’s City Centre car park with his signature doodles.
The giant mural, on the side of a building in Edinburgh road car park, is set to take 5 days to complete.
It’s part of a new project organised by Ashford Borough Council, called UNFRAMED which hopes to improve spaces around the town and bring joy to people as they go about their day.
This street art festival will involve a variety of different artists, who’ll be creating fourteen artworks across the town. All the murals are due to be completed by Friday 31st March when a launch event will take place. The festival will then remain open until the 16th of April, giving everyone plenty of time during the Easter holidays to enjoy the murals.
To help Mr Doodle complete his mural, JMS Powered Access provided one of their Niftylift HR28 hybrid boom lifts. With a maximum working height of 28m and a maximum outreach of 19m, it was the ideal choice to carry the world renowned cartoonist to the heights needed to complete the giant doodle.
Being a hybrid boom means the electric motor can be used when working in enclosed areas or town and residential areas where zero emissions are required.
JMS carried out the necessary pre-delivery inspection and delivered the cherry picker a few days in advance of the project to prevent any delays.
Even in a short amount of time, the results are pretty impressive!
